Now you can go sign petitions til the cows come home, but realistically, unless you convince 50 thousand other people to do that you’re probably not going to make a huge difference in the overall scheme of things but there are a few ways online that you can. All over the internet are great ways, really legitimate ways to change a life or to add something positive to someones world by your online work. Project Gutenberg- offering out of print books that are copyright free. Now you may think this is an easy task but there are multiple different levels of proof reading necessary to release these books,, FREE BOOKS–to people who may have nothing else to read or a way to own a book. Online you can download these books and you can print them out or print them out for someone else. Books like alll of the Dickens books, or all of the Wizard of Oz series. Remember how magical it was the first time you read a book. Give that to someone else by spending some time proofing a book at the Gutenberg project. Doe Network-All over the world, people go missing every day. Some never make it home. You can help to give closure to a family by joining the Doe Network and making it possible that someone receives final news of their loved one. Doe Network works to match up unclaimed remains to missing persons reports and does so using photos and online methods. They then submit a match proposal to the DoeNetwork leaders and state or national leaders who propose that match to law enforcement. In several cases it has been the efforts of the Doe Network that brought closure to families who were waiting for word about their own children or loved ones.
