Thanks for your comments Todd and yes, I absolutely agree that a public forum is no place to keep alive a six year old grudge.

As to our working out our issues, I believe that to be the case. LOL This part of "we" never had any misunderstanding to work out. :)

In the beginning, to be very blunt, I just placed you in the foolish non-techie category, vented on the website and let it go at that. I'm glad that we had the opportunity to speak further and to clarify the situation. You seem quite genuine and very passionate about what you do, which is something I admire in anyone..

It's been my pleasure to get to know you a bit. I would not hesitate to recommend Doe Network to anyone, but I do recommend that they start slowly and ease their way in.
Best Wishes.

Hi Robbi - responding to your comment. Hoping all your friends know that we worked out any misunderstanding between us and you seem to be a fine person. Though the politics of the past have been resolved to a much smoother environment this past year.

Not responding to "Sheena's" (Gaelle Verhalle / Meyahana) comment. No interest in any pointless (mostly anonymous) combat for another 6 years.

Happy to invite anyone to check out Doe Network first hand and form your own opinions. :-)

Good Morning.
In all honesty, having not been associated with the group at that point, I would have no way of knowing if your comments are truth or not. To that end I have invited some of the site members to respond to them. I do not typically remove comments, but rather, allow them to be answered. My experience with Doe network has been mixed. The degree of rapidity with which I was banned, and the very lengthy time that it took to reinstate me after multiple years of causing no issues on the site gives me pause for thought, however my conversations with Mr Matthews as well as his assistant have been very productive and very friendly. I tend to base my beliefs on first hand experience which I have with these folks, rather than strangely vituperative commentary from someone that I have never met. When people flame other groups on a public board, I tend to be less believing than if they send me a private message offering me information. It seems that the motivation is more sincere when it takes place in private.

I would not hesitate to recommend the network to anyone based on what I personally know or have experienced, with a few proviso's... Offering to do more, or to get more involved seems to leave you open to suspicion. While I understand that there has been some upheaval and that some people have treated them badly, I'm certainly not willing to pay for other's misdeeds. Secondary to this, the politics of the group are not for me to play with. The technical aspects are what I joined Doe Network to work on and as such, taking sides in an all out combat seems somewhat counterproductive. Thank you for your commentary.

The Doe Network was never founded by Todd Matthews but Jennifer Mara who then gave it to Helene Wahlstrom who then again hired Todd Matthews as media liaison and treasurer for donations. When she decided to remove him for not doing any work he changed all her passwords and stole her site. Is that the past things Todd has been talking you about? This man is an impostor and a thief no more no less.
Just thought I would tell you since you don't seem to really know the story. The Doe Network full website if the work of Helene Wahlstrom, Jennifer Mara and a few others (but not Todd Matthews who never did anything but give interviews about himself) he stole a woman's decade of work. I know... he is a remarkable liar and he has fooled more than one.

That it be past, present or future there have always been/will always be very ugly things going on with this organization. They banned tons of people, they have gone insane with that, they think they are ubber important, while they are just the uneducated jerk next door. You're right people have to be very careful about where they choose to volunteer, I would myself strongly disadvise anyone to associate with these people, most of them do have issues of some kind. I was myself a member there for years and all the craziness going around there is not sane for anyone.

You just have to look at their membership application: no on,e mentally sane would go see a notary to join a discussion group(??!!)

Increasing awareness of how Author Ranking helps draw more traffic to the website and it will increase your level of expertise in the internet world. Thanks for the article, Robbi! Jo

As much as I hate it, Iwriter is currently my only option since Textbrooker and other sites that offer better pay only accept U.S writers. Anyway, I am ready to offer my services to anyone or even any site that does pay a higher amount.

Brilliant article. I wish I'd had someone tell me these things when I was freelancing! I think I would have skipped a lot of headaches and stress.

I'm going to forward this to everyone I know who still freelances or has other kinds of "clients!" : )

If you're email has been hacked you should try using ad-hoc email addresses that are tied to an account only you can access, but not directly tied to your email address. Think of it like a post office box. . Look at the email above as an example

The site Cocoon and its about a new way to access the Internet without directly touching it, thus protecting you and your computer from things like mal-ware, anti-virus, encryption in public spaces and tracking

I had not written an article on ezine for ages, but the recent one I did (last month)
attracted very little traffic. Now I know why !

This is becoming more and more common. It is apparent by the vast tome of denials that Just Host is not a quality company with which to affiliate in our opinion. Further, having spoken to many of you about your experiences it is apparent that after a time, Just Host company simply will not respond to your emails or speak with you on the phone as regards their payment--or failure to pay their affiliates in a proper manner.

Having reviewed this and heard it over and over and having been a personal party to the rip off practices that this company engages in, it is my personal opinion that one of two things must be taking place.

A. Just host affiliate sales scam their sales people out of honestly earned commissions and have no intention of paying out more than half of what they truly owe?
B. Just Host is the proud employer of the most absolutely inept employees and the most hopelessly stupid affiliate managers>?

In either case. it is our recommendation as well as that of several other websites that if you are honestly interested in making money that you DO NOT recommend Just Host and DO NOT AFFILIATE with Just Host as it is quite likely that you will not be paid despite their advertising to the contrary.

Other companies that may serve you far better as an affiliate are Ace-host.net We personally use Ace Host and have done so for more than 8 years. we love the service, we love the people, and we love the hosting. You just can't go wrong and while the payout level is higher, so is the affiliate commission. Further, there are other companies to use. These include Hosting Dude, Go Daddy, or even 1and1.
