Sending Photos in Email
0 CommentsPosted by Catastrophe on July 13, 2010 under The Internet, Windows Computing
I don't know about you, but I"m a picture taking fool, and my entire hard drive is littered with photos of kids, grand kids, cousins, aunts, uncles, storms, lightning strikes and the odd stray deer and porcupine. When it comes time to send those out to people I pass them along in droves, to the point of driving my relatives to utter distraction. I was fairly shocked to find out that some folks... more.

What is a Word Press Plugin? You all know by now that I am obsessed with Wordpress. I love what it can do, I love what you can use Wordpress for. I work with it nearly exclusively now and I liked it so well that I started teaching it, and building with it, and writing tutorials for it and working with the development of the documents for it. Most of all I love the massive amounts of ultra func... more.

1 CommentsPosted by Catastrophe on September 25, 2009 under Windows Computing
Lots of you know that I write articles for a living, as well as do marketing and demographic research. I’m getting a ton of questions lately about marketing your websites. I always answer, use common sense marketing. Frankly I don't live on mine, that's true, so my method may not suit you. It doesn't bring in vast sums of money, but it does tank my articles high. For those who are new to th... more.

Defcon in Las Vegas this weekend kicked... Capture the flag was interesting, the vendors were great, if a bit over priced, but what the heck.. it was Vegas.. As far as I was concerned, the really kick @ss things were taking place upstairs. The hardware hacking and lock picking that was going on in the galleries was fun and a unique way to spend a few minutes. Defcon, in my humble opinion, h... more.

How utterly annoying is it when something works one minute and the next minute it just won't. I've run into this time and time again, and my best advice to anyone, novice or experienced user is to back up before you change up. That includes even altering the most unlikely thing, because it can, and will cause problems. My most recent experience was with Twitter Tweet Deck, which played a few... more.

Fantastic Internet Freebies

I love free stuff don't you. Years ago the internet was a bundle of free things, up for grabs for anyone who wanted it. That was then, and this is now. Things change, but in fact, not everything changes for the worse! Granted, there isn't quite so much cool free stuff on the net as there used to be back in the "day". That is to say back in the dot com boom, when freebies were plentiful and si... more.

You may, however, let others smell and look at your dinner and are encouraged to tell them how good it is. If you have a PC microwave oven, insert the dinner into th... more.
