Lost Printer Drivers

No matter how careful you are, there will come a time when you lose a  computer driver of one kind or another. Most generally you will accidentally uninstall it, the cat will step on the keyboard at a strategic time or the kids will wonder exactly what that file does and check it out. Don’t laugh. Every single one of those thngs has happened to me. While windows of all flavors offer a lot of printer or other device drivers, so that your computer printer [...]

Stepping Into Cyber Space

The Online world is a fairly slippery entity to explain to anyone who is stepping into it for the first few times. Granted its a cool new thing to explore but for those who are older, or even younger people who aren’t overly into the culture, its like speaking another language. Very clearly, the internet is it’s own world. For the most part, as you’re going to find out, we’ve even got our own language. Common sense pretty much tells you what goes where when you try to connect your computer. Its rather like trying to insert square pegs into round holes, because most things are made for just one insertion point, or only [...]

Password Reset Disk

First things first. Many of us use a password on our computers. I personally don’t but for the most part, the world wants their “stuff” secure. If you add a password, particularly in Windows XP, which is what a vast portion of us are using today, and you forgot your windows password, unless you’ve taken the time to create a password reset disk, you’re pretty much done for. The only real way to get back into your computer is to reinstall Windows XP and starting [...]
