What the HECK is Word Press.?

I hear it all the time and it never ceases to amaze me  the people who still think word press is a blogger software and nothing else. ]

In it’s native state, wordpress is for blogging, true enough, but the absolute capacity for expansion that you can have with a few plugins will just amaze you. You don’t have far to look to get examples since Do It Yourself Computing is a WordPress driven site. WordPress can be anything you want it to be. The functionality and ease of use will amaze and delight the users from oldest to youngest and the ability to use it to make money online with WordPress just can’t be understated.

WordPress today can be a realty site, a blogging site, a landing page, and just about anything else. I was so impressed I joined the contributors and started working on how to’s for Word Press. You can find some of those here on the site under the how to’s, the tips and tricks section. Trust me when I say that WordPress will help you with any online career or even, in some cases with your offline career. Blogging can help you in networking and finding other jobs.

The flexibility of iWordpress is incredible and word press is so user friendly that you can do just about anything with it, depending on what you add and what themes that you select. The themes can also add some additional use, some spiffying up, and some expansion that you won’t believe. Plugins extend it still further. We’ve got a few plugin explorations on the site and plan a few more to help you see what you can get out of them.

To top it off, a WordPress site can be built in under ten minutes. I don’t’ mean all of the articles and the plugins and inclusions but I do mean a basic site can be installed and set up and themed  and begun to be worked on in under ten minutes. Don’t believe me? We’ve had some serious wordpress experience. Just ask me to do it for you.

I’ve begun to sell wordpress sites, and to host them because… well because WordPress is the most impressive software going. The fact that its free has nothing to do with it.. well okay it h as SOMETHING to do with it, but the truth is that even if it was a paid software it would be impressive.

WordPress has been  named the CMS of the year for 2009. You can’t beat that for an open source software.
