Remember when the internet was all about freebies and you could get just about anything at the click of a mouse? If you browse around that’s still the case, but it takes a little looking. Some of the most fun things to play with on your computer are free fonts. I love the dingbat fonts, as it let’s me make some interesting pictures in Corel, but even if you just want to write on something like msn or your web site in a unique font, you’re going to have a good time with some of these.
Remember that when you download your free font, if the person who is viewing the page or msn message does not have that font installed, they will only see the default font, not the cool fonts you’re using.
Always tell them, this page is best viewed in THIS free font, and then give them a link to download it. If yo’ure talking to friends in MSN, do them a favor and pass them a link to download the fonts you’re using .
Free fonts are fun to play with and interesting to write in. Remember that some free fonts aren’t going to set up wll in certain sizes. It’s no fun for someone to use it if they cant’ read what you’re saying, so make sure that you play with your free fonts a little bit and find out what size they look best and are most readable in.

Font Garden has their free fonts listed in fantastic categories so they are easy to find. They have a super selection of free dingbat fonts and you can literally find anything here.
Urban Fonts

Urban fonts is largely a for pay font site,but they do have a great selection of free fonts. While its not nearly as large as the Font Garden, or some of the other free font sites, Urban Fonts does have some unique and unusual fonts that you won’t find other places.
