You’ve heard it a thousand times and if you continue to buy computers and to use them, you’re going to hear it a thousand more.
“Why would you buy one of those things. In a year it will be obsolete”
So, is your computer going to be obsolete in a year?
The answer is a definitive.. WHO KNOWS?
Obsolete is such a relative term. If what you really want to know is, after a year, will your computer be less than state of the art.. the answer is yes, it probably will. A year down the road, there are of course going to be better computers, just as there are going to be better televisions, better food processors and even better elevators.
Does that make it unusable? Of course not. If you’re here now, and surfing the internet, and the computer is fast enough and doing all that you want it to to, barring a crash orĀ your dropping it down a flight of steps, its likely going to be able to do those things a year from now too.
As long as your computer does all that you need it to do, and satisfies the needs that you have for its function, it’s never really obsolete.
Unless the latest release of some program that you absolutely NEED to have to do some absolutely vital task won’t work on your computer, then your computer isn’t obsolete and you can keep on using it until the cows come home.
